Dr. Dawn Diamond

I believe resilience can be built, healing is possible, and purpose is often revealed in life's most difficult moments. My life's work proves it.

My name is Dr. Dawn Diamond. I am an author, speaker, educational leader, and scholar whose work is rooted in lived experience, faith, and a commitment to advocacy and growth. I am called to bridge faith, leadership, and lived experience in a way that empowers people to reflect, heal, and move forward with purpose.

I grew up navigating foster care, group homes, and extended family placements—unstable environments that could have defined my story. Instead, they became the foundation for understanding resilience, systems, and the importance of consistent support. By the age of sixteen, I secured my first apartment while completing high school, later graduating as valedictorian. Those experiences did not define my future, but they deeply influenced the work I feel called to do. I know what it's like to build resilience when stability feels impossible and to trust God when the path forward is unclear.

Today, I serve as an Assistant Principal and bring more than twenty-five years of experience working with children and families across early childhood, elementary, and secondary education. My professional background includes teaching, school leadership, instructional planning, restorative practices, testing coordination, and staff development. I am deeply committed to supporting the whole child and to equipping educators and leaders to lead with empathy, reflection, and accountability.

My academic journey reflects these same values. I hold multiple graduate degrees, including a Doctorate in Educational Leadership, with a publicly published dissertation focused on teachers' perceived readiness to support students in foster care. This research informs my advocacy for trauma-informed practices, effective policies, and systems that better serve vulnerable students and the professionals who support them.

I am married to my husband, William Diamond, and we have been together for fourteen years. We are raising three children, and family remains central to my life and leadership. My roles as a wife, mother, and educator continue to shape how I view responsibility, purpose, and the importance of creating safe and supportive environments.

As an author, I wrote In the Midst of It All as a testimonial memoir that reflects my journey through pain, pressure, and purpose. The book is not about perfection or arrival; it is about endurance, faith, and recognizing God's presence through every season of life. It is my hope that readers see themselves in these pages and find the courage to keep moving forward.

As a speaker, my goal is to empower audiences to think deeply, lead courageously, and remain hopeful. I speak in a way that is grounded, reflective, and honest, allowing space for both challenge and healing. My language is rooted in faith, hope, and love, while remaining accessible across professional and faith-based settings.

Whether you are an educator seeking to lead with greater empathy, a woman rebuilding after hardship, or someone searching for hope in the midst of difficulty—you belong here. Let's walk this journey together.

This book gently guided me through my own storms with hope and grace.
